"Do you use ChatGPT?" is already the wrong question.
The better question is: what do you let it do for you while you sleep?
Most AI discussion is still stuck in the 2023 pattern: one question, one answer, a quick moment of surprise, and then back to work.
That is no longer the interesting part.
The interesting part is that AI has stopped being a search engine and started becoming labor. An agent does not just answer questions. It completes tasks, through several steps, within boundaries you define.
In practice, a well-scoped agent can already run scheduled market research, customer monitoring, competitor summaries, calendar and reminder routines, email triage and first drafts of content or reports.
The catch is that an agent is only as good as its instructions. Clear goal, clear limits and human review at the end: useful. Vague instruction: vague output, quickly and in volume.
For small teams, this is the real opening. Not hype, not science fiction, but leverage.
